The Chim-Scan® Series 211 Controller with Monitor:

• Controls to operate a variety of cameras.

  • Can be adapted to use one of the following drill batteries: 18V Rigid, Bosch and Ryobi Batteries or 20V DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, or 24V Kobalt drill batteries.

  • Built-in time/date stamp on all images and video
  • Jpeg imagery or up to 1 hour video segments

  • The SD Recorder uses an IR remote: 
    • It allows ​you to be 2 to 3 feet away from the recorder and still record pictures or video. Ensure you have a clear line of sight, or the remote will not work. 
  • You can use any SD reader with the SD card, so if you work with a tablet in the field all you need to get is a SD reader that plugs into your tablet or phone.
    • iPads will recognize the jpeg photos but not the ASF video files. ​
      • ​ASF video files are recognized by Apple computers with VLC, PC computer, and Google Drive.  
• The Series 211 Controller can also be sent back for repair or upgrade by undoing the grips on either side of the case.
• The Case
  • The unit is housed in an approx. 15" x 13" x 6" protective lined case. 
  • The Reeler provides power and signal to the camera while pulling the cable from the reeler.​
    • 50’ cable attached to a reeler inside the case.
    • The Reeler has four bolts that attach it to the outside bottom of the case. It can be easily removed and sent back for repair or upgrade without sending the entire case, thus reducing freight charges.
      
      
  • ​Extra Stabilizers for the camera can be left in the case.
  • Never leave anything on the reeler when closing the case as it can damage the controller.​

The Chim-Scan® J3D™ Chimney Inspection Camera

• The J3D™ Camera comprises the Lighthouse Tilt and Top Camera and gives you the best of both views.
• The Top Camera is embedded in the top of the J3D™ Camera to provide a straight-up view for scanning the chimney from the bottom up, while the J3D Side Camera provides a joint/sidewall view with 360-degree continuous rotation.
• The Chim-Scan Series 211 Controller has a switch so you can flip back and forth between views while scanning. If you're recording video, you can switch between cameras without stopping the recording.
• The J3D™ Camera has a 90° tilt range providing 5-10 inches of vertical view, depending on the liner's size.
• It tilts continuously or can be stopped at any point.
  Now you can tilt and rotate simultaneously, and the camera is still 2" inches round.
• The J3D™ Camera comes with a set of removable wheels for navigating thimbles up to 16" deep and for chimneys with severe offsets.
• By removing the wheels, the J3D™ will fit into Prefabs and 'normal' masonry chimneys.
• Stabilizers are built-in into the top and bottom of the camera. Both orange and white Whisker Stabilizers are included.
• The J3D™ Camera includes 1 rod adaptor. Customers must specify Kwik-Lock, Ro-Vac, Snap-lock OR Torque Fit.
