Chim-Scan Series 100 Controller with 7" monitor, battery pack adaptor, cable reeler and case.
The Chim-Scan® J3D™ has a cylindrical camera body with four (removable) wheels, resembling a cart. Towards the center is a camera surrounded by a protective lens cover. The camera can tilt 90 degrees vertically and rotate continuously 360 degrees. Above and below the camera are two strips of bright LED lights. Attached to the top of the camera body is another camera called the top camera. This is for viewing straight on or straight up. A flexible spring is attached to the bottom and includes a chimney rod adaptor.

SERIES 100 CONTROLLER
  • Series 100 controller includes a 7" LCD screen, camera controls, and variable light control.SD Recorder - the S.D. Recorder is mounted inside the controller.
    • The camera controls on the monitor change based on which camera you order.
    • Can be adapted to use one of the following drill batteries:  18V Rigid, Bosch and Ryobi Batteries or 20V DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, and 24V Kobalt. 
    • The unit records JPEG still images onto an SD card and can be previewed in Windows Explorer on a computer (Mac and PC compatible).
    • Records up to a one-hour video with audio input, microphone included.
    • Date and time-stamped photos and video!
    • Can preview pictures or videos on the unit before leaving the job site.
    • Includes a 4GB SD card.

J3D Camera - a powerful two in one camera that captures defects clearly, such as cracked flue tiles, moisture, damaged mortar joints, and other chimney defects.
  • The J3D Camera comprises the Lighthouse Tilt and Top Camera and gives you the best of both views.
  • The Top Camera is embedded in the top of the Lighthouse Tilt to give you that straight-up view, while also giving you the joint/sidewall view.
  • The controller has a switch so you can flip back and forth between views while scanning. If you're recording video, you can switch between cameras without stopping the recording.
  • The Lighthouse Tilt has a 90° tilt range providing 5-10 inches of vertical view, depending on the liner's size. It tilts continuously or can be stopped at any point. Now you can tilt and rotate simultaneously, and the camera is still 2" inches round.
  • The J3D Camera includes a set of removal wheels for navigating thimbles up to 16" deep and for chimneys with severe offsets. The wheels are removable, so the camera will fit into prefabs and 'normal' masonry chimneys.
  • Stabilizers are built-in into the top and bottom of the camera.
