If you would like to record images from your Chim-Scan® using a notebook, an easy way to accomplish this is using the Chim-Scan® USB magic box. Simply connect the USB magic box to the Chim-Scan controller 10 pin and the other end to the 50’ camera cable.
All the necessary connections are already made. All you need to do is watch the instructional DVD and install the software into your computer. Then place the USB cable into your laptop’s USB port. Once the Software and USB Magic Box are linked together; the Chim-Scan® image will appear on your computer screen. The unit is placed into a hardy case for everyday use in the field.
It’s size is 6.75” x 4.0” x 1.5” and can fit in the case with your camera behind the controller.
For LCD Chim-Scan owners with built in VCRs, you can either replace the VCR with the converter box or use them together. With the easy to follow instructions you will be placing images on a word processor document providing a professional look to.
SD Magic Box
The Chim-Scan® video signal is converted to a digital format, for still image recording to a SD card, then converted back to the Chim-Scan® screen with O.S.D. (On Screen Display) for time and date. Once the stills arerecorded onto an S.D. card, take it to a computer where you place it into an S.D. Slot. They can be opened with windows explorer.
S.D Magic Box is powered by the Chim-Scan unit, so there aren't any extra wires to connect, the unit is plug and play ready for the Chim-Scan unit. Press the (snap) button and the image is recorded. This Magic DV box works with both Windows XP or Vista and Mac’s |
This new accessory for the Chim-Scan® units has the ability to capture JPEG images from the any Chim-Scan® unit built since 1995 and record the images onto an SD Card.
